Brief history of Azam FC

Azam fc was founded on 23 May, 2004 by Yusuf Bakhresa and workers of his wheat floor milling industry, Mzizima. It was first called Mzizima FC. In the 2008/09 season,  Azam  got promoted to the Tanzania Premier League for the first time. The team lifted its first and only Ligi Kuu Bara (Tanzanian Premier League) trophy in 2014.
