Early life
Adrian Meronk was born on May 31, 1993 in Hamburg, Germany to Andrzej his father and Joanna his mother. Adrian seems to come from a family connected to golf. This is because his dad was named one of the best dabblers in Poland to golf as a youth.
His parents later moved back to Poland from Germany when Adrian was two years old. They lived for ten years in Pniewy, near Poznan. Adrian attended his high school in Wroclaw and later furthered his studies in the U.S.
Adrian Meronk amateur career
Adrian Meronk embarked on his amateur career after attending university. From 2012 to 2016, he was admitted to East Tennessee State University. Playing college golf was key to his development as he competed against players like John Rahm and Justin Thomas. In 2012, 2014 and 2016 Eisenhower Trophy, Adrian played for Poland.
As an individual his performance was impressive and in 2012 he was ranked seventh position. In 2016, Meronk was ranked third individually while Poland finished at number eight. In 2015 and 2016 at the Arnold Palmer Cup, Adrian played for Europe and in 2016 he was a member of the undefeated team.
Professional career
Adrian Meronk’s professional career began after his victory in the 2016 Eisenhower Trophy. He played for several Challenge Tours such as the Challenge Tour in 2017 and the Ras Al Khaimah Golf Challenge where he became the second best after Jens Dantorp won in the playoffs. In the season, Adrian completed as number 30. He later participated in the Challenge Tour and completed at number 48.
Meronk’s skills in golf grew and he managed to perform well in the 2019 Challenge Tour where in his first game he tied in 7th place. In the D+D Real Czech Challenge, Adrian Menrok was ranked 3rd. At the Open de Portugal Challenge Touris where Adrian has his first win. He defeated Sebastian Garcia Rodriguez by two strokes.
To qualify for the 2020 European Tour, Adrian Meronk completed the 2019 season and was ranked 5th in the Challenge Tour Rankings. Adrian was triumphant in November 2020 after holding a 54-hole lead at Alfred Dunhill Championship, this was an achievement itself. Unfortunately, a 76 final round had him drop to second place sharing when Christiaan Bezuidenhout won after him by 4 shots.
Adrian marked history in July 2022 by becoming the first player from Poland to win on the European Tour in the Horizon Irish Open. Five months later in December 2022 on the European Tour at ISPS Handa Australian Open, Adrian carried home his second title. He had scored five shots ahead of Adam Scott.
He again won in 2023 the DS Automobiles Italian Opens at Marco Simone Golf and Country. In Spain at the Estrella Damm N.A Andalucia Masters, Adrian won against Matti Schmid by one point.
